Worship & Admin Position

Mission Hills Community Church - CRC

 

OVERVIEW

We at Mission Hills Community Church are looking for a musically gifted, spiritually-mature, biblically-grounded Christ Follower to lead our worship ministries and church admin duties under the direction of Council. We are a growing church with a vision of being a community where people experience God’s love as we stay on mission to be fully devoted followers of Christ as we pray, love, serve, and give.

 

Worship Director Responsibilities ( 7 Hours / Week)

             - Work with Council to plan the worship services.

             - Lead worship 2-3 times per month with a team.

             - Attend Sunday Morning services (At least 3 per month)

             - Schedule worship teams at least one month in advance.

             - Provide some development for worship teams (ideas could include suggesting new songs, attending practices of other teams               to grow their leadership, or planning and leading a worship ministry meeting).

             - Oversee sound and media teams, and bring or provide training as needed.

             - Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church.

             - Contribute creatively to the structure and content of special services such as Easter and Christmas.  

 

Admin Responsibilities ( 3 Hours / Week)

             - Handling social media and website updates.

             - Collaborate/relay information with Council.

             - Coordinate, plan, and execute church events, ensuring seamless execution and positive experiences for attendees.

             - Assist in preparing the annual worship budget, monitor expenses, and ensure financial accountability.

             -Attend council, worship and staff meeting as needed.

Requirements  

             - A lifestyle that demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

             - Demonstrates skills as a vocalist and instrumentalist.

             - Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes.

             - Should be proficient in reading music.

             - Should have experience leading and managing teams.

             - Some formal training in music (and specifically church music) is preferred.

 

Work Schedule / Pay

             - 10 hours per week

             - $20 per Hour

             - Significant opportunity for growth in a growing and expanding church.
